From: Mark Tellefson
It seems that I end every golf season by saying "This winter I am
finally going to take golf lessons and spend more time at the range."
But year after year I break my promise and remain the bogey golfer as
seems my destiny.
This year I am going to change all that! I have 3 goals:
1. Weekly golf lessons
- I have already signed up with the most sought after PGA Teaching
Professional in this area.
2. Include my son
Alan will be 11 next week and I have never had enough time to help
him develop his love of golf. I have agreed to split my lesson
time with him so we can enjoy it together. Follow the
Kids/Beginners link for more information on my plans.
3. Start my collection of classic golf literature
- I started my collection with a 1935 book called "The Rights and
Wrongs of Golf" by the legendary Bobby Jones and an incredibly
funny collection of golf stories called "Confessions of a Golf
Addict".
Wait....let's make that 4 goals:
4. Share what I have learned with my golfing friends.
- I sat down with my golf pro, his name is Matt Cook, and asked his
permission to share my experiences. To my surprise he said YES!
__________________________________________________________________
Why? I can already hear the skeptics out there wondering why I would
share the information I am paying hard earned cash for.
I truly believe that you learn more when you reiterate what you have
learned to others. By explaining the learning process I am going
through to whomever will listen I am forcing myself to understand it
completely.
Don't get me wrong...I have friends who love to talk golf, but in the
Midwest it gets to be a touchy subject when there is snow on the ground
(and my secret 5th goal is to be able to beat them all when summer
rolls around).
Now for the big news Matt sprung on me today!
After telling me I could share the information from my lessons, he went
to work on a list of keys to successful practice he wants me to
follow. He told me to feel free to share it with all my friends!
Let me share a little about Matt. He is one of those guys who would
help everyone if he possibly could. He helps with the local youth
programs. Matt has a true desire to make sure the love of golf spreads
to future generations.

A glimpse of what is to come:
My son and I just finished our first lesson with Matt. I have always
been a student of golf. I have read countless books and magazines and
watched many videos. I figured I have a fairly classic grip and
swing. Big Surprise!
He had me changing my grip slightly and of course since my son, Alan,
learned from me, he had the same incorrect grip. I tried to contradict
some of his instructions but he stopped me in my tracks by simply
saying "Do you like the way you are hitting the ball now???"
In the words of Bobby Jones from The Rights and Wrongs of Golf:
"With a bad grip he is condemned always to be a "hacker", because
the succeeding movements of the correct swing are impossible for a
man whose grip varies greatly from the orthodox. But given a good
start, with his hands placed correctly on the club, he will find the
rest easier than he might expect."
Ok...so my grip probably didn't vary greatly from the orthodox but the
first tip he showed me involved moving my hands less than 1/2" for
added strength and power.
Matt then went to work on my setup. He made me feel a little
like the cartoon but after a few swings I could start to see the
potential growing.
He has me excited with some great things to work on before next weeks
lesson. I am off to write my first installment in our series of
newsletters to make sure I retain what I have learned.
I hope you will join us on this adventure.
See ya on the links!!!

Find other ZORGIUM pages using your favorite search engine:
Enter your search keyword(s) and the keyword "zorgium" into the search input field of
http://bing.com,
http://yahoo.com or
http://google.com.
Heads up: There's an ongoing spamdexing of Google searchbot algorithms. Sites that are 'copies of copies' and cloaked sites which include Zorgium keywords presented to search engine crawlers yet garbage content presented to human visitors were hosted on thousands of IP addresses and domains registered immediately after the introduction of Zorgium in November of 2009. The Hostgator/'The Planet'/Softlayer datacenters in Texas seem to be the epicenter of this activity in conjunction with anonymously registered domains of various TLD's but primarily .info domains at Godaddy which, in our opinion, has some sort of connection to the domains of goldmint.in and goldmint.org. Google has begun to notice this and has begun to lower the ranking of these sites and put our original sites back on top of the search rankings. These actions, as far as we can tell, negatively impact the use of the keyword 'zorgium' as a search term and provided little benefit, if any, to the perpetrators.
ZORGIUM note to content providers: If you don't want your page to appear in Zorgium's search abstraction then put an exclusion for "Zorgium" in your web server's robots.txt file.
